This is a huge week for the Music Department and we want you to be a part of it! First, mark your calendars for Thursday night, May 7th. It’s our big Spring Concert at 6:00 PM in the YAC Gym. Bring your friends, bring your family, and come hungry—the JCMB will have a concession stand full of snacks and drinks to support our program. It’s going to be an incredible night of music and we want to see the gym packed! Then, the party continues on Friday! We’ll be on for our school-wide Spring Concert Assembly. You’ll get a front-row seat to see what our musicians have been working on all year. Don’t forget: Thursday night at 6:00 PM and Friday for the assembly. Let’s make some noise for our Cabrillo musicians

Hello Cougars! Today is the first day of our Pet Shelter Drive. We are looking forward to seeing how Cabrillo comes together to help support shelters in the San Jose and Santa Clara communities. Some of the shelters we have researched offer so many services to the animals before they become ready for adoption, and this actually can save you quite a bit of money at the Vet. When you buy a pet, your first vet bill can easily top $500 - $600. That is on top of what you paid for your pet. However, did you know that adopting a pet from a shelter means that the shelters take care of spaying and neutering, vaccinations, de-worming, and microchipping? Some offer other services such as training and follow up meetings to support the pet and the pet owner. Furthermore, the adoption fee you pay actually goes straight back to keeping the shelter up and running so they can continue to help pets in need. It is a win win to adopt and not shop for a pet. We are asking that you place your new or gently used items outside your 1st period door. This ensures that we don’t interrupt your instructional time. Remember the two top donating classes receive an ice cream reward.
