PTSA
Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!
Dear Juan Cabrillo Middle School Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! On behalf of the Cabrillo PTSA, I’m thrilled to extend a heartfelt welcome to both our returning families and those joining us for the first time. Together, we form a vibrant, diverse, and deeply committed community—and we couldn't be more excited about what we can accomplish together this year.
💡 What We Do: At Cabrillo, our PTSA is a partnership between parents, teachers, students, and staff, working hand in hand to create a supportive and enriching environment for our students. We believe that when families and schools work together, amazing things happen. And last year was a shining example of that—from exciting programs to meaningful initiatives that brought joy, enrichment, and unity to our campus.
This year, we’re dreaming even bigger. Our lineup includes cherished favorites like Spooktacular, Dining for Dollars, the 8th Grade Dance, Art Reflections, and Teacher Appreciation Week, alongside inspiring academic and enrichment opportunities like Math Kangaroo, Student Assemblies, Astronomy Night, and the Innovation Lab. These programs don’t just entertain—they empower, educate, connect and build lasting memories.
🤝 But we can’t do it without your Support in building stronger community, Whether you have an hour a month, a creative idea, a professional skill, or a desire to support from afar—you are an essential part of our success.
1. We invite you to join the PTSA today for just $10 per member. Membership is open to all: parents, guardians, teachers, staff, and students.
You can join and donate online by following this link or by completing a membership envelope and dropping it off in the school office mailbox.
2. Make a Donation: In addition, if you are able, we kindly suggest a donation of $50 or more to help fund the incredible activities we have planned. Every dollar goes directly to enriching your child’s experience—and all donations are tax-deductible. We also welcome corporate matching;
You can find us on Benevity under Juan Cabrillo Middle School PTSA, EIN: 77-0324523.
3. Volunteer Your Time: We would also love for you to get involved! If you’re interested in volunteering, there are so many ways to contribute—big or small.
Our PTSA meetings are held in person on the third Thursday of every month at 7 p.m., and we warmly welcome everyone to attend. These gatherings are a great way to stay connected, learn about upcoming events, and be part of the conversations that shape our school. Keep an eye on ParentSquare for meeting dates and other updates, or reach out to us anytime at CabrilloPTSASC@gmail.com.
This school year holds so much promise, and with your involvement, we can make it extraordinary. Let’s work together to support our students, celebrate our teachers, and strengthen the Cabrillo community. Your voice matters, your time matters, and your presence makes a difference.
With gratitude and enthusiasm,
Rukhsana Azeem
